The podcasting landscape in 2025 is evolving faster than ever, with artificial intelligence playing a significant role in streamlining production, enhancing engagement, and boosting discoverability. For podcasters looking to stay ahead of the curve, leveraging AI effectively can make a world of difference. Here are 16 AI prompts tailored for podcasters to help with ideation, interviews, show notes, and promotion, along with why each is a must-have in your toolkit.
My preferred AI tool is ChatGPT, but you can use your favorite one instead!
In this post, you’ll notice some common threads in each of the prompts. First of all, I tell the AI who they are. For example “You are a professional podcaster who specializes in creating podcast series.” This sets the stage for the AI to get in the right “mindset” to generate the rest of the prompt. (You’ll also notice I put “with 20 years of experience doing [X]” that’s just a little extra thing I do and you can add any number of years of experience, I just default to 20.)
You’ll also notice several of these prompts require an episode transcript. I suggest using a transcription tool like Podium or Descript. Then, you can either paste the transcript into the prompt (if it’s a short episode) or (my preferred method) save the transcript as a .txt or .docx file and attach it with your prompt.
Finally, make sure you customize these prompts to your own custom needs. Replace anything in [brackets] with your own relevant information.
Have fun and experiment to see how you can uplevel your podcast in 2025!

Make sure to proofread these before sending them off, but you’d be surprised how many people are willing to lend their voice to your podcast when you ask them nicely! A little bit of flattery does some heavy lifting as well 😉

Give me all of the web links mentioned in this episode, as well as any additional links that should accompany an episode with the attached transcript.
